Goal: Something Independent was requesting video submission to determine winners of their 2011 Snow Entrepreneurial Award.
This came to our attention very late in the game. We didn't think we could get something together in time. I don't believe in those kinds of things.
I got the team to agree to do it and got my hands on a camera. I co-directed and shot most of the footage. Then I took it home and learned Adobe Premier overnight to produce the 1:30 video below. And when I say overnight, I mean overnight! (I now have a new-found respect for video producers everywhere.)
We would up making the submission deadline and while we did not win, I have used what I learned to create more videos that have been on display at trade shows. One was even left to cycle endlessly and actually turned a booth visitor into a product evangelist and I overhead him selling our product with complete knowledge to his coworkers without ever having spoken to anyone on my team. That's a good feeling right there.
